 Terms & Conditions

 

 

Competitors must read carefully all of the information provided on the TYNE TRAIL ULTRA website www.tynetrailultra.com and act accordingly.

 

Competitors should not take part in the event if they are knowingly under prepared, have a medical illness or any other condition which may compromise their safety and the safety of the support services.

 

 All details provided by competitors must be accurate at time of entering, any changes to personal or medical details must be corrected by logging into their personal account or contacting the organising team.

 

Entries cannot be substituted (swapping names) if the event is full.

 

Transfer from one event to the other is not possible if the event is full.

 

If competitors withdraw prior to the event, the following costs are incurred:

  • 180 days or more before event – 50% refund

  • Between 179 days and 60 days – 25% refund

  • Less than 60 days – no refunds will be given.

Unfortunately we are unable to defer entries to subsequent years.

 

If a competitor withdraws during the event and fails to notify the event crew directly (mobile phone message is not acceptable) they will be liable to any costs incurred in the event of any search and rescue. The competitor must speak DIRECTLY to an event official and know that the official has noted the withdrawal. This must include the competitor’s name and signature on a specific withdrawal document which will be available at all finish locations and marshal points.

 

Competitors must follow the rules and regulations of the event as outlined by the organising team.

 

The competitor must be semi self sufficient. This means between Aid Stations they must have the resources with them to be safe and get from point to point. Between Aid stations you cannot rely on the event team.

 

TYNE TRAIL ULTRA reserves the right to cancel an entry or prevent entry if required to protect the ‘goodwill’ of the event.

 

If the organisers are forced to cancel the event for any reason, a new date will be established and all entries will be carried forwards. If no alternative date is available, all entries will be carried forwards again.

 

If the organisers are forced to cancel the event for any reason, no refunds will be given.

 

Competitors should always act in a manner which ensures minimal impact upon the event route and those who live in close proximity or on the route itself.

 

Any competitor not acting in this manner either during or before the event, will be disqualified and their entry fee will not be refunded.
